About Us:
The Northwest Montana Historical Society formed in 1996 to save from destruction the then 102 year-old Central School building in Kalispell, Montana. In January, 2000 the fully restored facility was re-opened as the Museum at Central School with four large exhibit spaces and a mission dedicated to the cultural and educational enrichment of the local community through the acquisition, preservation, and display of pertinent material relating to the history of Northwest Montana.
