Services Offered:
Guided mountain climbing, mountaineering instruction and avalanche courses, ski and snowboard touring. Trekking excursions, guided hiking with an intro to native and not so native fauna and flora.

Description Of Area:
Wanaka is at 300 m altitude, situated at the door step of Mt Aspiring National Park. The closest Internat. airport is in Queenstown, one hours drive away. Wanaka has an airport with a daily service from Christurch.

Description Of Property:
Alpinism & Ski Wanaka is situated 25 min. walking distance from the center of town, 5 min. from the lake and a couple of min. from top quality mountain biking trails.

Description Of Room / Suite:
Mountaineering, trekking and ski guests have a 'climbers bunk room', a private double room or the independent Alpinism studio available and are welcome to stay before or after the trips. The studio can be rented for short term private holidays, hide aways and/or adventures

Description Of Adventure:
Mountain climbing for 5/6/7 days in the Southern Alps from Nov. -April, winter mountaineering and ski/snowboard touring during Sept. and October. Trekking from Sept. - May
|
Description Of Activity:
Mountaineering adventures from half day easy walks in the local area to week long and full on alpine adventures in the wilderness of the grandiose Southern Alps of New Zealand.

Description Of Tour:
Half or full day trekking, overnight hut experience.
Mountaineering with a highly qualified UIAGM/NZMGA mountain guide.
|
Age Range And Group Type:
Homestay for adults only, kids are welcome on guided walks.

Sleeping And Meals:
Provided for mountaineering guests
