About Us:
Bill Hohepa is NZ's most famous saltwater fisherman. Bill's wife Linda is an accomplished artist and photographer.

Services Offered:
We offer accommodation packages staying with Bill and his wife Linda in a self contained self catering (if required) apartment. We can cater for up to 6 people as a fishing group, or one or two couples. The men go fishing, the ladies go touring.

Description Of Area:
Kawau Bay is an enclosed harbour with calm waters. Kawau island itself is a beautiful Island, it has the home of the first NZ Governor's origal house in Mansion House Bay and that is a popular attraction.

Description Of Property:
We have a large house with a separate self contained, self catering apartment attached. Lovely views over the bay from the main house with private yard with bbq area.

Description Of Room / Suite:
There are 6 single beds available in the apartment for groups of keen fisherpeople. We also have a guest room with king sized bed and own bathroom for a couple looking for that lovely catered home stay holiday by the beach. perhaps going fishing for a day
|
Description Of Adventure:
Bill will take people fishing around the Kawau pronounced (Cow wow) Island area fishing for the local fish snapper, sea trout, trevally, and kingfish. Bill supplies all the gear. Bill has a large centre consul boat to fish from.

Description Of Activity:
Bill provides all the tackle for normal rod and reel fishing for the local fish.
|
A Typical Day:
Begin the day with a cooked breakfast. Depart for the port of Sandspit about 5 minutes away and launch the boat. Travel to fishing spot, catch fish. Depart for home about 4pm. Clean up and prepare for fresh fish bbq, or other fish evening meal. recount t

The preferred age group is Adults.

Sleeping And Meals:
We have 6 singles beds in the apartment, 2 in one room, 3 in the main room upstairs and 1 downdowns. We have one kingsized bed in our guest room. We can provide all meals, or people can cater for themselves in the fully equiped kitchen in the apartment.

Amenities Provided:
The apartment has all the normal amenities bathroom, kitchen, lounge. The guest room has its own private bathroom.

Business Facilities:
Internet, fax and phone are available if required.
|
Special Features:
We think we have something very special to offer, and if you're into fishing then Bill will show you some fishing tricks that may improve your fishing.

Rates And Availability:
We are available all year round with the exception of January when Bill conducts children's school holiday adventure fishing camps for kids.

Reservations:
Booking is essential for people wanting to stay and go fishing. However if accommodation only is required we can cater on a more casual basis, but people would still need to book.

Restrictions:
Unfortunately we have no facilities for wheelchairs.

We offer a group discount for a group of people wanting to go fishing for 3 or more days.
